Homeschool Writing Classes
Looking for a writing class for your middle or high school student?
In this 7-week class, we will work on writing two types of essays: a research report and a persuasive essay. Instruction will be given for the basic building blocks and the process of effective writing. We will walk through the entire writing process twice from pre-writing to revisions as we craft two papers together as a class.
Students will then use what they learned to write at home and return to class with completed assignments. Assignments will be doable for all middle/high school students, and they will be tailored to fit the skill level of individual students. Concepts will be added for advanced writers as needed so everyone is challenged.
Moms, you will provide two writing topics for your student’s at-home papers, so these can complement your other studies. I will provide guidance for the prompts and further help if needed. Additionally, I will provide assessment of these at-home papers and offer feedback for your student’s next steps in writing.

Early registration deadline is July 28. Classes begin August 14.
About Aimee
Aimee Smith is a veteran homeschool mom who has graduated two students and is still teaching her two younger boys. Aimee’s love of writing came from teaching her own family and tutoring others. She is an author and speaker, and she is almost finished with a Masters degree in Classical Studies: English Rhetoric. Over the years, she has taught writing using IEW, Lost Tools of Writing, Office of Assertion, and The Rhetoric Companion. One of her potential plans for when she retires from homeschooling is teaching English composition for college.
